Quickly exploded onto the scene not only as one of the region’s top 2022 players, but has now started to gain a national profile… averaged 7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 2.3 APG, and 2.2 SPG for Section 2 Class A champion & regional finalist Averill Park… Amelia certainly put those unaware in the section on notice with her performance in the Section 2 finals, where she turned the tide after a slow AP start, reeling off 16 of her team high 20 points in the 1st half to turn a close game into an 18 point edge… earned a spot on the Section 2 Class A all-tournament team for her exploits… also was a Section2basketball.com Class A 3rd team all-star pick and garnered a NYSSWA Class A All-State honorable mention selection… already receiving early Division I attention from several schools… 2nd year in EST, as she came on midway through last summer and earned a spot for the rest of the season.
