Amaia Jackson is no stranger to EST events already, including the 2021 MS Combine in Scranton (pictured above). A rising star in the 2025 class out of Rochester, Amaia is developing a national profile & has already picked up Division I offers from Binghamton & Niagara.

Back to my old homeland of the Mohawk Valley! The first EST event in the Utica area was last year, also on the first Friday of June, for the highly successful Summer Kickoff. This year, it’ll be the middle schoolers’ turn to bump at Accelerate for an event that’s proven to bring out many of the Northeast’s rising stars. Middle School Combine time!

The 4th Annual EST MS Combine will be held at Accelerate Sports Complex in Whitesboro, NY on Friday, June 3. This will be a ONE SESSION EVENT, running from approximately 6:30-9 PM. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be capped at/around 60 participants.

Players will receive the opportunity to compete in various outlets while also getting focused reps through individual skill development. The competition piece includes an extended stretch of 3v3 play to not only allow participants to get into a rhythm & provide a different look, but also to maximize touches & “in-game reps” for all. There will also be plenty of traditional 5v5 run, with rosters geared to be competitive for all participants. All athletes will also go through a comprehensive individual skill work session during the event. This is set to be coordinated by Mark Williams of the renowned Team Footprintz organization. No stranger to EST events as he’s coordinated a few of these sessions in recent years, athletes will have the chance to work with a leader in the field.

While the EST high school events have turned into a prime opportunity to gain exposure & visibility to collegiate programs and other valuable outlets on a prospect’s journey, EST middle school events have also proven to “break” up & coming players on a greater scale with an early barometer of the extended region’s talent while providing a fun, competitive environment. The first MS Combine’s 8th graders are now seniors; many have continued their basketball journeys & have committed to continue playing collegiately at schools such as Penn State, Lafayette, Marist, Niagara, Le Moyne, Saint Rose, Daemen, Queens, and a host of Division III & JuCo programs.

Event days are some of my favorite days of the year, and the MS Combine has grown into one of my favorite events. Looking forward to what 2022 has to offer! Registration & payment links are at the top of the page, and a registered player list (updated daily, or at least as often as I can get to it) will be posted directly below. Hope to see you at Accelerate on June 3!

Ella Wilson was a breakout player at the 2021 MS Combine. The 6’0″ Lake-Lehman (PA) 2025 guard put in work at Riverfront as part of a big year that saw her start to attract early Division I attention.
